We were honored with two Reed Awards, the prestigious award given by Campaigns & Elections to honor excellence in political consulting, for our client work in the 2018 election:

Best Fundraising Email Creative/Copy for Gubernatorial Campaign for our work on Larry Hogan for Governor

 

Governor Hogan’s campaign messaging was focused on continuing to change Maryland for the better, by focusing on his campaign’s in-state support and highlighting his accomplishments from his first term as Governor. Maintaining this consistent and positive messaging was critical to his campaign’s online fundraising success.

Throughout the election, there was a stark contrast between Governor Hogan’s strong in-state support and his opponent’s large number of out-of-state campaign contributions. This became a critical part of our messaging, which needed to remain very positive to match Governor Hogan’s voice while still showing the Governor in opposition to his opponent.

Because Governor Hogan spent a lot of his time on the campaign trail directly connecting with supporters and voters, we utilized imagery of him speaking with and meeting voters — including a direct-to-camera video of Governor Hogan talking about the state of the election and directly asking for contributions. This reinforced his position of being a Governor for all Marylanders.

Best Fundraising Email Creative/Copy for Primary Campaign for our work on Ron DeSantis for Governor

 

In our email content for Ron DeSantis for Governor, we focused our messaging around his unapologetic fight for the Silent Majority. Especially in a Primary campaign, mastering the voice of a candidate in emails early on is critical to building a sense of trust and loyalty between subscribers and the candidate.

The Florida gubernatorial election was covered extensively and talked about across many media channels. We utilized imagery and messaging that subscribers saw or heard in other formats to reinforce his consistent messaging and voice.

From day one, we were able to capture his voice build a strong connection with his supporters, which created a strong fundraising base of donors in the Primary that led to record-breaking fundraising in the General election.
